We like to keep things interesting here at BBI by hosting exciting, unusual and interactive literary events in our unique space. Keep your eyes peeled for our regular light hearted literary quiz nights. We have also opened our doors to poetry, theatre, storytelling, music and we provide activities for children during school holidays.

Part 1 - Thursday June 21st 7-9pm | £25 per person
An opportunity to learn and practice elegant classical piping techniques with the guidance and instruction of a friendly qualified sugarcraft enthusiast.
You will be given a board so you can take your piping home.

Poetry Evenings with the Barn Poets

Sessions are on the third Tuesday of every month (excluding December) from 6.45pm - 8pm in The Full Stop Café. The Café will be serving snacks and drinks during the meeting.

The group ask for a donation to attend and the suggestion is £2.

Poems read in the round - a place to listen to each other's work, discuss and share with like-minded others.
For lovers of poetry... Bring your own poems to read, poems you love, or just come to listen.
A vibrant group who love to hear new work and meet new poets.
Young people from 13 years welcome.


Creative Ink Writing Group

Sessions will be Monday mornings, 10.00 - 12.00.

All are welcome to this weekly creative writing group. 

Meeting weekly in the Full Stop Cafe, this group get together to provide inspiration and positive support for each other's writing projects.

No commitment is required - the group runs on a drop in and drop out kind of basis.

Regular Knitting / Crochet Group

Sessions will be Wednesday mornings from next week (8th February) from 10.00 - 12.00.

The group is open to all abilities...whether you've knitted wardrobes for your entire family or you're just starting out and need some encouragement, please join us. No booking needed.

The aim is to make new friends, and support each other through knitting/crocheting projects.

Tea/cake will be available from the Full Stop Café.

Sunday Socials with Gwyn

Once per month on a Sunday afternoon in the cafe Bookbarn International's resident DJ Gwyn plays music and Vinyl.

Our annual winter fayre features an amazing array of local craft and art stalls, plus delicious food and drinks served by the Full Stop Cafe.

The Bookshop Band 8th March 2017 7pm

The Bookshop Band are Beth Porter and Ben Please.
They write songs inspired by books, and play them in bookshops. They have performed to audiences in the barn three times.
